Request for Proposals (RFP) — More Information

A Request for Proposals (RFP) provides information on an available property or location, explains how to prepare a proposal, and outlines terms of prospective leases or licenses. An RFP may also describe improvements the parties of a business is expected to make to a property as a condition of an agreement. When RFPs are advertised, a site visit is typically arranged to permit prospective proposers to view the space listed. The MTA seeks proposals from as many potential proposers as possible, evaluates all of the proposals submitted, negotiates terms and conditions, and concludes the transaction.

MTA invites all interested parties to submit a proposal in response to an announcement of an RFP. The specific requirements of any RFP and the documents required in support of any proposal will be detailed in the RFP information packet which is available on-line via the links shown above.

All inquiries are encouraged, and the MTA welcomes the participation of minorities, women, and other disadvantaged groups in the business opportunities available on MTA property. The MTA Department of Diversity and Civil Rights at 646-252-1369 is available to provide assistance to applicants. No proposer will be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
